An incredible client, a longtime VP, was
She hired me a few years ago after seeing my email about having a wishbone where your backbone should be."That's me," she said. "I'm wishing and waiting instead of speaking up and leading."
We went to work ๐ ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐๐ซ ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐, driving results through hard work and execution (where so many of us get stuck), and ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ.
She started having her own back, being more visible at all levels, asserting herself and sharing her crystal clear point of view, while staying empathetic and open to input.
So when the CEO role opened up, she confidently shared her perspective on what needed to change for improved culture and performance, intending to inform the board on what they should be looking for in their executive search.
And they said to her, "Why don't you apply?"
YES! ๐ ๐ ๐
Talk about elevating your impact and accelerating your career!
She said I've been "in her ear" through the whole process.
But you know what? That's not me. It's all her.
She's become the leader she set out to be and I have no doubt she will continue to grow, evolve and develop more empathetic, influential and impactful leaders.
