Is waiting until you have the right answer holding you back?
Of course, you think it’s best to come up with an airtight idea or solution before you share it. We’re taught that failure and mistakes are bad.
So it’s normal to think this way. And if you do, I bet you need to make sure everyone agrees with your strategy before you present it. You probably spend days tracking people down to get their feedback one by one. And still worry about the feedback you’ll get.
But look at Apple. They became the biggest smartphone company in the world with constant software updates and bug fixes. Imagine if they waited until everything was perfect to send it out.
We’d still be using Blackberries (remember those?) 😱
If doing endless research or getting everyone to agree individually was the key to success, our greatest innovations would be round one prototypes and first drafts. We know that’s not how things work.
📋 The most effective leaders get to about 70%, get feedback and iterate quickly.
🗣 They know they can’t get projects to 100% on their own and they value others’ contributions.
💡 They recognize that the best ideas come from collaboration.
🚀 That mistakes are on the path to success.
💪 And they have their own back even when their ideas are rejected.
😎 They don’t take input or even criticism personally.
If this sounds impossible, it’s not. I learned how to stop overthinking everything so I can take meaningful action, even when I feel unsure about how it'll go. That's how you make a difference.
I’ve helped dozens of other thoughtful leaders just like you become empowered action-takers through my coaching program.
